Loki, Loki, Loki. A knot in the thread; a tie in the Wyrd of destiny between so many lives and a source of salvation & destruction (depending which way the wind blows on a given day). The god known for his devious, trickster nature can hardly help being a force of chaos given his relation to the giants of Jotunheim.

Having been tied down to a rock using the entrails of his own Son and having poison dripped on him (he did after all cause the death of Baldr) for an unknown length of time prior to the onset of Ragnarök, Loki, unsurprisingly sides sides against the Aesir.

On the battlefield he finds himself pitched against he who had foresight of Loki's path for a long time; the far seeing guardian of the gate and blower of the Gjallarhorn: Heimdallr.

Having sounded the alarm of approaching danger, Heimdallr, first on the field, clashes against Loki, who had himself lead the Jotun to the gate. The two, perhaps always destined to be so, grant each other's end. Heimdallr slaying Loki by duty, Loki betraying Heimdallr by the knife.
